At our 3rd Annual Conference, we will walk through many paths that may lead us to a terrain where we can combine together and fuse our discreet scholarly and practical knowledge into a higher level of concerted efforts for promoting human security. Our major concern running through all these walks may be best represented in our efforts to make the most dominant institutional device of our time, the state, accountable to the responsible citizens; and in turn, make the citizens aware of their responsibility lying beyond the confines of national borders.
Our efforts should also be responsive to the ever-changing means of knowledge production. With the advent of Internet and more recently GIS, the framework and means of knowledge production of our time are taking many of us to unfamiliar terrains which the familiarity may have been claimed only by certain engineers and scientists.
We are currently organizing a few special panels specifically designed for the demonstrating digital technologies for human security research and studies.
