Editorial Committee of Journal of Human Security Studies 

Rules and Procedures

Article 1: The editorial committee takes charge of the publication of the peer-reviewed journal of JAHSS entitled: Journal of Human Security Studies (JHSS).

 

Article 2: JHSS is published 2 times a year online. Besides, non-regular special issues may be published.

 

Article 3: The President of JAHSS appoints the Editor-in-Chief from Directors of JAHSS. The Editor-in-Chief appoints no more than 10 editorial committee members from the members of JAHSS.

 

Article 4: The Editor-in-Chief decides on editorial policy and procedures in consultation with committee members.

 

Article 5: The Editor-in-Chief appoints two or more reviewers for one submitted article. A reviewer may not be a member of JAHSS when special expertise is required.

 

Article 6: The review process is double-blind. The editorial committee makes the final decision on the publication of the articles based on the referees’ reports.

 

Article 7: When a serious discrepancy is found in review results, Editor-in-Chief makes a decision on evaluation outcome.

 

Article 8: Submission deadlines, author guidelines and other rules are specified in separate documents.

 

Article 9: These rules and procedures may be amended by the JAHSS Board of Directors.  

 

These rules and procedures based on conventional practice were formally approved by the JAHSS Board of Directors on 28 August, 2017.

Journal of Human Security Studies編集委員会規程

​

第1条　編集委員会は人間の安全保障学会の査読付学術雑誌Journal of Human Security Studies (JHSS)の刊行を担当する。

 

第2条　JHSSはオンラインで年2回刊行される。加えて、特集号が不定期に刊行される。

 

第3条　人間の安全保障学会会長は、学会理事のなかから編集長を任命する。編集長は学会会員のなかから10名を超えない範囲で編集委員を任命する。

 

第4条　編集長は編集委員と協議し、編集の方針と手順を決定する。

 

第5条　編集長は1本の投稿論文につき2名ないしそれ以上の者に査読を委嘱する。特別な専門知識が必要な分野については、学会会員以外の者が査読者になることができる。

 

第6条　査読はダブルブラインド方式とする。査読報告に基づいて、編集委員会が論文の掲載の可否を決定する。

 

第7条　査読者によって査読結果が大きく異なる場合は、編集長が結果の裁定を行う。

 

第8条　論文提出締切、執筆要領その他の規定は別途定める。

 

第9条　本規定は人間の安全保障理事会による改訂を受けることができる。

 

本規定は編集委員会内規を明文化するものとして、人間の安全保障学会理事会によって2017年8月28日に承認された。
